President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte has made a historic visit to Israel.
He strengthens diplomatic ties with Israel while his country is waging a war against Islamist rebels who have sworn allegiance to ISIS.
During his speech he thanked the Prime Minister of Israel for his military assistance in the war against the Islamist rebels who tried to take control of the district of Marawi.
Israel helped the Philippines defeat the Islamist terror Group the Maute, an Islamic State-sympathetic, anti-government Muslim rebel front that sparked war in the southern city Marawi.
At the end of his speech Rodrigo Duterte said that the Philippines and Israel share the same "passion" not to allow Islamist terrorists to "destroy our countries and kill our people".
